History of Floyd's Towing
Over 65 Years of Trusted Towing & Recovery
Founded in 1959, Floyd's Towing (Floyd & Sons, Inc.) has served Racine, Kenosha, and Southeastern Wisconsin for three generations. From our humble beginnings as a local service station to becoming one of the region’s premier heavy-duty towing and rotator recovery fleets, our priority has remained the same: fast, dependable, and safe service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our Journey Through the Decades
The Texaco Station Beginnings
Floyd & Sons, Inc. opens its doors in Racine, Wisconsin, operating as a full-service Texaco gas station with automotive repair and local light-duty towing.
Transitioning to Full-Time Towing & Extraction
To meet the rising demand for highway assistance and heavy equipment transport across Southeastern Wisconsin, Floyd's exits the gas station business to focus exclusively on professional towing and recovery operations.
3rd-Generation Fleet Expansion & Heavy Recovery
Now operating strategically out of dual dispatch centers in Racine and Kenosha, Floyd's operates a specialized fleet featuring air-cushion recovery units, heavy rotators, Landoll trailers, and knuckle boom cranes.
Built on Family Values & Certified Standards
As a third-generation, family-owned business, we understand that vehicle breakdowns and heavy transport emergencies are stressful. Our certified operators undergo continuous training to deliver fast, respectful, and damage-free towing every time.
Floyd's Towing is a proud member of the Wisconsin Towing Association (WTA) and the Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA), adhering to the highest professional and safety standards in the nation.
